A daysailer can be impressive under sail and still spend too much of its life at the dock. Saffier’s SE 24 Lite puts attention on the rest of the day, from lifting and launch to the reach from the helm to the lines. The boat measures 7.10 metres without the bowsprit.

Its electric auxiliary is there for manoeuvring when the sails are down. Integrated solar panels contribute charge, but the owner still needs a realistic plan for battery state and the amount of motoring a particular harbour requires. Confirm the power system on the boat under consideration because configurations can differ.

Consider the shallow and standard keel against the water you sail, and check the whole trailer and launch arrangement if you plan to keep it ashore. A short trial including departure and return is more revealing than a fast reach alone.
