THE WHV LETTER / 01
The things we return to.
An opening note from What Holds Value.
Attention is a form of choice.
There is no shortage of things to want. The more interesting question is which ones repay the attention we give them.
Sometimes it is a proportion that still feels right after a fashion has passed. Sometimes it is an object made well enough to remain useful, a place that changes how we see, or knowledge that improves a decision we have yet to make.
Money belongs in this conversation, but it does not settle it. A good purchase can preserve capital. A good experience may leave something that cannot be sold. Understanding the difference is part of understanding value.
That is where WHV begins.
We will look closely, make connections and return to the questions that deserve another reading. The pleasure is in discovering something exceptional; the responsibility is in explaining why it matters.
