Moots Vamoots CRD, built around the long ride.

A titanium road frame is interesting when its material, geometry and service details support the rider who will use it.

A bicycle becomes familiar through repeated contact: the reach to the bars, the response to a climb and the way it carries a rider through a long afternoon. The Vamoots CRD makes titanium part of that experience rather than treating it only as a visible finish.

The frame beneath the finish

Moots describes its double-butted RSL tubes as thinner in the middle and thicker at the ends. The current CRD specification also includes 3D-printed dropouts and a threaded T47 bottom bracket. These are concrete design decisions to investigate with a knowledgeable dealer, not proof of a universally superior ride.

The useful value is a frame and build chosen for a rider who intends to keep riding it. Geometry, component compatibility and service access can remain relevant after the initial excitement of the purchase. A premium material cannot correct poor fit or make an unsuitable riding position enjoyable.

Start with fit

Arrange a fit assessment and confirm the exact build, tyre clearance and maintenance implications of the integrated cockpit. Ask about regional service and warranty terms. The online listing may not reflect dealer availability, so obtain a current quotation rather than assuming the photographed configuration is immediately obtainable.
