A dark surface can resemble stone until a stem or petal comes into focus. Marcin Rusak’s Flora Low Coffee Table 165 uses that moment of recognition. The botanical fragments invite a slower look at an object otherwise encountered as part of a room.
A botanical surface
The studio lists reference FL2338 as a 2024 design made with selected and processed flowers and leaves, resin and stainless steel. Rounded corners and reflective metal surfaces frame the botanical composition. The studio welcomes enquiries about availability and commissions, rather than promising that every photographed piece is in stock.
The interesting value sits between furniture and sculpture. It offers a usable surface with a material identity that remains legible at close range. It should not be treated as an indestructible stone table or as a promise to preserve flowers without change. The studio’s material guidance places limits on suitable environments.
Commission with the room in mind
Ask for the exact composition, finish, dimensions and care instructions for the proposed piece. Discuss sunlight, heat, moisture and the intended room, and establish repair options before commissioning. The quality of a collectible design purchase includes understanding what its experimental material asks of its owner.
