Delite5 pinion, a different maintenance routine.
Riese & Müller puts the motor and gearbox together. The payoff depends on where you ride, charge and service the bike.

Look at the centre of the Delite5 pinion and you can see where the design changes the owner’s routine. The motor and gearbox share a housing, and the belt runs from that assembly to the rear wheel. There is less exposed shifting hardware to tend to after a muddy ride. The work of maintaining the machine changes with the layout.
Riese & Müller’s specification distinguishes the Pinion version within the Delite5 family. The bike has front and rear suspension and is equipped for carrying luggage. These features make sense for rougher surfaces and longer trips, but the weight deserves attention if the bike will have to go up stairs or onto a rack. ADAC’s test of the GT pinion is useful context for handling, noise and battery access.
Try a ride that includes the surfaces you use every week. Lift the bike, take the battery out and ask the shop which components it can service in-house. The valuable detail is the combination of a practical route and a maintenance plan you can actually follow.
