Andean Explorer, the value is in the route.

The Peruvian Highlands itinerary links Cusco to Arequipa via Puno and Lake Titicaca. The important part of the booking is the route. Time spent on board alternates with stops and excursions, and the same train also operates itineraries in other directions.

Read the individual days and work out which places you will actually step into. The operator lists a pause at La Raya and excursions around Lake Titicaca and the highlands. Compare the included stops, starting station and arrival time with the rest of your plans.

The choice of cabin matters for two nights on a train, but ask about the things a room photograph cannot answer. Confirm the departure, accessibility arrangements, luggage rules and how the operator handles changes on the railway.
